The San Francisco/Napa/Sonoma itinerary is one of my favorite trips – so much so that I’ve been back about 5-6 times! All 3 locations are easily done in a week – or you can just spend a week or long weekend in wine country if you want to skip the city.
 
In this guide you’ll find my personal recommendations for: luxury and romantic hotels/B&Bs (I only recommend places I’ve had the best sleeps and many are ecofriendly), award-winning restaurants offering fresh, local and seasonal menus (my favorite style of eating is tapas or farm-to-table), off the beaten path boutique vineyards & wineries (with limited case production and wine you won’t find anywhere else), outdoor adventure, breweries, bars & nightlife. I have personally been to almost all of the places I recommend so you can be assured they’ve been vetted.
